HOT WATER TANK INSTALLATION IN WINNIPEG

Since there are multiple types of hot water tanks, each has its own installation process. We will start with the electric water heater. Usually, you will be replacing your current hot water tank and heater. Your technician begins with draining the tank and disconnecting the electric supply and water lines.

Next, it is time to level the water heater and install a pressure relief valve. Then the heat trap fittings and water line connections are installed. Finally, the tank is filled. The last step is adding the electrical connection and adjusting the thermostat.

The processes for replacing and installing a gas water heater and tank are similar, but have some key differences. Your technician from Lynn’s in Winnipeg will begin by draining the tank and disconnecting the gas and water lines. Then it is time to detach the gas exhaust and remove the old heater. The next part is installing the gas water heater. Your technician will align and level the water heater. Additionally, they will connect the flue hat to the gas exhaust vent. Then they will install the heat trap fittings and water line connections and connect the gas supply.

The final steps matter. They are testing the gas line for leaks, lighting the pilot light and turning on the control knob.

TYPES OF WATER TANKS

At Lynn’s, we have high-quality standards. That’s why we use contractor-grade hot water tanks rather than Rheem tanks that you could find at Home Depot.

There are two common types of hot water tanks, electric and gas-powered.

Electric hot water tanks have many advantages. They heat water with electric heating rods. These efficient heaters have a high energy factor (EF), which measures the amount of hot water the heater produces per day to the amount of fuel it uses. The upfront costs are lower, and the installation process is simple.

However, there are downsides. Electric heaters cost more, and there are longer recovery periods as the water heats up slower than with its counterpart. You should also consider that the water will not heat during power outages.

Gas hot water tanks heat water with a gas-fired burner. Helpful aspects include heating water fast and having lower operating costs than their electric counterparts. They also are energy efficient and work during power outages.

In contrast, you may require new ventilation systems to operate gas-powered hot water tanks. There are fewer sizes, and they have shorter lifespans than electric water tanks. You will also have to keep on top of relighting the heater if the pilot light goes out. Check out our

Our Plumbers Are the Best in Town...
But Don’t Just Hear It from Us!

Dallas installed my central air unit 10-11 years ago at the recommendation of a friend. Since then the Lynn's team has helped me numerous times with drain services, plumbing and most recently a new furnace and hot water tank. This has been a cold winter and my old furnace wouldn't have cut it. New furnace, no problem. I feel like they actually care and that's important to me. Would reccomend them to anyone.

Brian K

Absolutely fantastic to work with. I had called half a dozen places when the sump pump failed during some heavy rain, most didn't even bother calling back. Even though they were getting slammed Dallas kept in touch and kept me aware of when to expect him. After arriving he had our sump pump swapped out in short order with a replacement up and running, no messing around. I will be calling on them again in the future should the need arise.

Daniel Parker

I called on Saturday morning and booked for Monday morning. The company called by 8am to let me know the techs were on their way. The techs were knowledgeable and friendly. The only negative was that although I had advised of a small access the machine was too big and they had to go pick up a smaller machine. Otherwise they cleaned up and I have plumbing again.

Some Of Our AIR CLEANING Services winnipeg FAQs

Why Is It Essential To Clean My Ducts?

It is essential to clean your ducts regularly to reduce the risk of health and safety hazards. Dirty and dusty air ducts can lead to allergies, asthma attacks, respiratory illnesses, and even fire if not properly maintained. A professional cleaning service like Lynn’s HVAC will be able to remove any dirt, dust, allergens, and other debris from your vents to improve the health and safety of your home.

How Often Should I Consider Air Cleaning Services for My Home?

It is recommended that you have your ducts professionally cleaned at least once a year. However, if you suffer from allergies or other respiratory illnesses, it may be necessary to clean them more frequently. Lynn’s HVAC can provide an inspection and cleaning service as needed to ensure your family’s safety and comfort.

What Are the Signs That My Ducts Need Cleaning?

If you notice a musty smell coming from your vents, it may be time to have them cleaned. Other signs include an increase in dust accumulation throughout the home, or if anyone in your household is experiencing respiratory issues that can’t be explained. If any of these symptoms occur, contact Lynn’s HVAC for a thorough inspection and cleaning.

Can Dirty Ducts Affect My Health?

Yes! Dirty ducts can contribute to the growth of toxic mold and mildew, which can cause allergies or other respiratory issues. In addition, dust and other debris in your air ducts can be circulated throughout your home every time you turn on the heat or A/C, leading to a buildup that affects indoor air quality. Regular maintenance is the best way to ensure your air ducts are clean and free from contaminants.

Does Duct Cleaning Also Improve the Efficiency of My HVAC System?

Yes! Cleaning your air ducts can help improve the efficiency of your HVAC system in many ways. First, it removes debris and dust that may be clogging up the system. This makes it easier for air to move through the ducts and helps prevent overheating or other malfunctions.

It also helps reduce energy costs by minimizing how much energy is needed to cool or heat the home. Finally, it reduces the stress on other components of the system by removing debris and allowing for smoother operation. All of these benefits add up to improved efficiency.

From the moment I met Josh I knew I could trust this company. He was very patient and explained everything easily. The team came on time. They worked so hard to get my new AC on my old furnace. It was a challenging job but they stayed positive and never discouraged me. I was so confident they will do a great job and they did not disappoint. They cleaned up everything and it looked perfect. I am now enjoying my cool home. Thank you so much and I feel like I found a family. ❤️

After a really bad experience with a competitor I turned to Lynn's. Scott was early, clean and professional. He took of his shoes, prepared the area where we has going to work and made sure my carpet didnt get any more dirty then it was (competitor had soiled it). The jobs was tougher than initially thought, but Scott kept working at it and didn't give up and finally found a solution. I felt the costs was proportionate and I would highly recommend Lynn's Plumbing and Scott in particular. Give others a pass!
